Established in April 2011, the Swiss Capacity Building Facility (SCBF) is a membership-based organisation of public and private entities promoting responsible financial inclusion. The members' commitment facilitates leveraging both public and private resources to support the development of an enabling ecosystem for financial inclusion. Our mission is to enable FSPs to develop and scale client centric financial solutions. We provide catalytic finance (e.g., technical assistance grants, repayable grants, impact-linked finance etc.) and support to these institutions to design customised financial products and solutions that cater to the needs of low-income households, smallholder farmers, and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Our goal is to improve the living standards of impoverished people, especially women and those living in rural areas. Our key strength is in leveraging and blending public and private financial and human resources to expand inclusive finance across geographies to improve environmental and social well-being. SCBF, as a platform, facilitates partnerships, convenes relevant organisations, manages grants, distils, and disseminates experience-driven insights. If you have an interesting / innovative proposals focusing on expanding financial inclusion or if you would like to partner with us on this journey of creating a world where everyone is able to lead a financially secure and dignified life especially women, smallholder farmers and MSMEs, please get in touch with us.
