Company Description
RoboIT is Italy's first National Technology Transfer Hub, launched by CDP Venture Capital in collaboration with Pariter Partners and the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa. The initiative involves prestigious research institutions including the University of Naples Federico II, University of Verona, and Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna di Pisa, representing Italy's leading robotics research centers.
The hub's mission is fostering deep-tech startups emerging from research centers and universities while supporting researchers in creating future innovation champions. RoboIT specializes in enhancing research results in robotics and industrial automation through a comprehensive investment model supporting the entire technology transfer supply chain.
Their approach encompasses three phases: developing proof-of-concept through de-risking and feasibility studies; creating companies via entrepreneurial strengthening and market validation; and facilitating national and international marketing through specialized venture capital funds supporting global growth.
RoboIT targets research teams from partner universities, established university spin-offs, and teams with solid intellectual property backgrounds. They seek ventures developing transformative robotics solutions with global market vision.
Investment focus areas include collaborative robots, human-machine interaction solutions, service robots for agriculture and logistics, surgical robots, industrial automation, exoskeletons, rehabilitation systems, AI software automation, autonomous vehicles, sensors, flexible robots, and humanoid robotics.
