Italian Business Angel Network

IBAN is the Italian National Association focused on the development and the growth of Business Angels ecosystem in Italy. IBAN, a non-profit making association under the Italian law, was founded on March 1999 with the aim to introduce in Italy the business angels - BA experience and to develop a national platform of BAN – business angels network. IBAN is an Italian registered trademark. IBAN's members are professionals in matching investors (formal and informal) and entrepreneurs. Also some individual business angels are engaged in IBAN activities. There are examples of public sector, private sector and "not profit" organisations. IBAN - Italian Business Angel Network, is a non-profit association, officially recognized and with legal personality, founded on March 15, 1999 following the "DG Enterprise" Project promoted by the European Commission. The Association coordinates and develops risk capital investment activities in small businesses by informal investors (Business Angels). Within the national context, it acts as a reference point for private investors, national networks (BAN) and Investor Clubs, while at the European level it reports to BAE, Business Angels Europe. www.iban.it
